XRP Pinned Under $1.12 EMA as Longs Hit 76% of OI, ETF Flows Flatline

XRP’s futures book is leaning heavily one direction: 75.9% of open positioning is long against 24.1% short, a 3.15 long/short account ratio sitting on top of roughly $648.9 million in open interest. Funding is mild at +0.0036%, so the crowding hasn’t yet forced a squeeze — but the imbalance means either a breakout or breakdown carries outsized liquidation risk in the near term.

Price action: same ceiling, cooling downside pressure

XRP is back near $1.1082, up 1.36% on the day, after another failed attempt to clear the descending trendline that has rejected every rally attempt since June. The token briefly pushed out of the $1.02–$1.04 support zone before sellers stepped in at the confluence of that trendline and a cluster of moving averages — the same zone that has held for weeks. Pivot sits at $1.1032, RSI(14) reads 46.9.

The token remains capped below its 50-day EMA (~$1.12) and 100-day EMA (~$1.17), so any move inside that band still reads as a relief bounce inside a broader downtrend rather than a trend reversal. That said, the structure isn’t purely negative: XRP continues printing higher lows off the June bottom, and RSI has climbed clear of oversold territory, holding above the 40 mark that typically separates a fragile bounce from a deeper breakdown.

A confirmed close above the trendline opens a path toward $1.17 and then $1.27, where the 200-day EMA sits as the next major hurdle. Losing the $1.05 support cluster instead puts the June lows back on the table.

Support/resistance map

A 42-indicator scoring model flags $1.1256 as the strongest overhead resistance at 75/100, derived from the 0.214 Fibonacci retracement, the R2 pivot and the 20-day EMA. The next resistance band, $1.2151, scores 73/100, aligning with point of control and the upper Donchian band.

On the downside, $1.0935 scores 63/100 (S1, mid Bollinger Band, 20-day SMA), while $1.0617 scores 64/100 (lower ATR band, S3) — the two levels that matter most if the current bounce fails.

ETF flows: XRP neutral, capital splits across altcoins

The spot XRP ETF posted zero net flow this session, following a net outflow the day prior. Since launch, cumulative net inflows total roughly $1.485 billion, with net assets at approximately $989.46 million — about 1.43% of XRP’s market cap — and daily trading volume near $6.87 million.

Elsewhere in altcoin ETF land, flows diverged: spot Solana products logged a second consecutive outflow day, shedding roughly $605,000, while spot Chainlink funds pulled in fresh capital for a second straight session, adding $565,676. Spot Dogecoin products stayed flat for a fourth session running. The pattern points to selective institutional allocation rather than broad-based altcoin rotation, with XRP’s flat print keeping it in that cautious middle ground.
