Shibarium DEX flow: $275 day, all through ShibaSwap, TVL still under $25K

Daily DEX volume jumped 1,517% to $275 and transactions hit 5,170, but absolute liquidity on Shibarium remains negligible.

Shibarium DEX flow: $275 day, all through ShibaSwap, TVL still under $25K

Shibarium’s on-chain data shows a rare coincident move across three metrics at once: DEX volume, TVL and transaction count all ticked up together on July 10, after weeks of near-zero activity. The scale, however, stays firmly in micro-cap territory.

The base rate matters more than the percentage

Per DeFiLlama data cited by The Crypto Basic, daily DEX volume on Shibarium went from $17 on July 9 to $275 on July 10 — a 1,517% day-over-day increase. Every dollar of that $275 was routed through ShibaSwap, Shiba Inu’s native decentralized exchange, with no other venue capturing flow.

Context on the trailing period puts the jump in perspective: Shibarium logged zero DEX trading volume from June 23 through the end of June, followed by just $3 in trades at the start of July before climbing to $17 by July 9. Even after the spike, absolute volume sits orders of magnitude below the tens of millions processed daily on competing chains.

TVL and throughput move in the same direction

Total value locked on Shibarium stood at $24,014 at press time, up 11.71% from June 27 and up 1.50% over the prior 24 hours, according to the same DeFiLlama figures. That places the network’s entire locked liquidity below $25,000 — negligible next to mid-tier DeFi ecosystems, but directionally higher after a stagnant stretch.

Shibariumscan data corroborates the pickup at the transaction level. Daily transactions had stayed under 2,000 since July 5, then surged to 5,170 on July 10 — a 361% increase from the 1,120 transactions recorded on July 9. That gives the DEX volume spike a second, independent on-chain signal rather than an isolated single-venue print.

Cumulatively, Shibarium has now processed more than 1.56 billion transactions across roughly 18.06 million blocks since launch, meaning lifetime throughput continues to dwarf the current daily figures even as those figures move higher.

Reading the flow

For anyone tracking on-chain positioning, the signal here is directional, not magnitude-driven: DEX volume, TVL and transaction count rising in tandem after a prolonged dry spell is the type of coincident pattern that can precede either genuine re-engagement or a short-lived bounce off a depressed floor. With TVL still under $25,000 and daily DEX volume measured in the hundreds of dollars, the data does not yet support a case for durable capital rotation into Shibarium — this is a recovery from a very low base, not a breakout in scale.
