PUMP Order Flow Turns Positive: $616M Buy-Sell Delta, OI Up 12% to $144M

Pump.fun’s PUMP token printed a monthly high of $0.00169 before settling at $0.00165, a 9% daily gain accompanied by a 61% jump in trading volume. Order-flow data from Coinalyze show buyers regaining control of the spot tape, while derivatives metrics point to fresh position-building rather than short covering.

Spot buy pressure outweighs sells

PUMP had failed to clear $0.00165 for three straight sessions before support at $0.0015 attracted renewed demand, according to Coinalyze data cited by AMBCrypto. On July 5, buy volume reached $3.22 billion against $2.7 billion in sell volume, and the imbalance persisted into the latest session with $1.14 billion in buys versus $1.02 billion in sells.

That produces a cumulative positive buy-sell delta of roughly 616 million tokens over the tracked window — a signal that spot buyers currently hold the upper hand in setting price at the margin.

Open interest and long/short skew confirm derivatives participation

On the derivatives side, CoinGlass data show PUMP’s open interest rising 12% to $144 million, while derivatives volume climbed 40% to $149 million. Rising OI alongside rising volume typically indicates new positions being opened rather than existing ones closing out.

Long/short ratios on Binance and OKX have stayed above 1, meaning traders on those venues are net long PUMP. Combined with the spot delta, this suggests speculative positioning is building in the same direction as the recent price move — a setup that, per AMBCrypto’s analysis, has historically preceded stronger upside continuation.

Momentum indicators point to a directional trend

Technical readings reinforce the flow data. The Aroon Up indicator surged to 100% while Aroon Down dropped to 21%, a configuration associated with strong, sustained upward momentum rather than a choppy range.

The ADX-DI indicator also turned bullish, with the positive directional index rising to 16 following a crossover. Taken together, the Aroon and ADX-DI readings support the case that the current move has trend-following characteristics rather than being a short-lived spike in volume.

Levels to watch

The immediate structure is straightforward: a daily close above $0.0016 keeps the path open toward the $0.0018 resistance level. Failure to hold above $0.0016, however, would expose PUMP to a retracement back toward $0.0013, unwinding much of the recent buy-side momentum.

For traders tracking flow-based setups, the combination of positive spot delta, rising OI, and a bullish long/short skew on major venues is the data point worth monitoring over the coming sessions — particularly whether the buy-sell delta continues to expand or begins to compress as price approaches resistance.
