PI Underperforms Broader Market Rally, Stalls Below $0.12 Despite Pi2Day Product Drop

PI is trading at roughly $0.115, down 2% on a 24-hour basis, while the aggregate crypto market capitalization climbed 1.29% to $2.16 trillion over the same window. The divergence puts Pi Network’s token noticeably behind the broader tape.

The token’s range for the session sat between an intraday high of $0.1176 and a weekly low of $0.1112, meaning PI has spent the past 24 hours oscillating inside a roughly 6% band. Holding above that weekly low is the main technical positive on the chart right now.

Market-wide Context

Bitcoin traded above $62,000 and Ethereum sat near $1,750 during the same period, while XRP outperformed with a roughly 4% gain. Against that backdrop, PI’s 2% decline stands out as relative underperformance rather than an isolated drawdown tied to token-specific news.

The gap between PI’s price action and the sector-wide 1.29% cap expansion suggests capital rotation has so far bypassed Pi Network, even as sentiment improves elsewhere.

Pi2Day Product Rollout

The Pi Network team used its Pi2Day event to ship three new ecosystem tools: SoloHost, Pi Sign-in, and PiVerify. All three are aimed at expanding developer-facing utility and giving builders more infrastructure to deploy applications on the network.

The launches are being flagged as a potential demand catalyst, with $0.12 marked as the immediate level to reclaim. A clean break above that threshold would open the path toward $0.13 and $0.14 as the next technical targets.

Liquidity Still the Bottleneck

Thin order-book depth remains the structural constraint on PI price discovery. Low trading volume amplifies swings in both directions, meaning a bounce off $0.1112 carries less technical weight than it would in a deeper market.

Whether the Pi2Day utility news is enough to pull sustained volume back into PI markets — against a backdrop where BTC, ETH and XRP are all posting gains — is the variable that determines if $0.12 gets tested in the near term.
