On-Chain: Wallet Turns $1M Into $9M Shorting ESPORT’s 98% Collapse on Aster DEX
A 1x-leverage short on Yooldo (ESPORT) has returned roughly 806% in under a month, with $4.28M already realized and capital withdrawn.

A single wallet on Aster DEX has turned a $1 million deposit into more than $9 million in a month, according to on-chain data from the AsterDEX explorer, by shorting Yooldo (ESPORT) as the token collapsed more than 98% from its mid-May level.
The wallet, tagged 0x89c3…A013, deposited $1 million into the exchange on June 18 and opened a short on the ESPORT/USDT pair using 1x leverage. As of July 14, the position had returned roughly 806% on the initial deposit, per the explorer data.
The trade breakdown
The trader has already pulled the original $1 million capital out of Aster DEX and locked in $4.28 million of realized profit by partially closing the short. The remaining exposure — 137.73 million ESPORT tokens, worth about $1.95 million at current prices — is still live, carrying an unrealized profit of approximately $4.77 million.
The short was opened near $0.05. ESPORT was last quoted at roughly $0.01416, putting the token’s market capitalization at approximately $8.94 million. That leaves the position still net short into further downside, with the trader evidently positioned for continued weakness in the token rather than a bounce.
Why the leverage detail matters
What stands out on the derivatives side is that the entire return was generated with only 1x leverage — the trader was not amplifying exposure through margin multipliers, but instead relying on the magnitude of ESPORT’s decline itself to generate the return. That conservative structuring also reduces liquidation risk on the remaining open short, giving the position room to absorb volatility without being forced out.
The trade played out against a backdrop of choppy, range-bound conditions across the broader crypto market through mid-July, a stretch in which directional altcoin bets — long or short — have generally struggled to find clean follow-through. ESPORT’s near-total drawdown since mid-May stands out as an exception, and the scale of the move is what allowed a single unlevered short to produce an eight-figure percentage return.
What it signals for on-chain trackers
For desks watching wallet-level flows on perpetual DEXs, the trade is a reminder that outsized returns don’t require aggressive leverage when the underlying asset itself is in freefall. With ESPORT’s market cap now under $9 million and the position still open, the wallet’s next move — whether it adds to the short, closes out entirely, or lets the remaining size ride — is likely to keep drawing attention from on-chain trackers monitoring Aster DEX order flow.
