LTC: Hashrate Prints Record 2.774 PH/s While Technicals Stack 12 Sell Signals at $43.76

Litecoin’s hashrate printed a record 2.774 PH/s, a milestone that lands at an odd moment relative to price: LTC is changing hands at $43.76, and TradingView’s aggregate technical summary shows 12 sell signals against just 4 buy signals, with 10 readings neutral. Network security and chart sentiment are pulling in opposite directions.

Range mechanics: $39 floor, $46 ceiling

Price is boxed inside a $39–$46 range that formed after LTC dropped from a May high near $60 to a June low around $39 — a move flagged by 3Commas analysis as a liquidity sweep that drove RSI into oversold territory before dip buyers stepped in. The $39 level is treated as macro support that absorbed the June capitulation, and daily closes above it keep the recovery structure intact.

A confirmed daily close above $46 would complete the current base and open a path toward $52, with the May $60 high sitting as the longer-range reference. A sustained close below $39, by contrast, invalidates the recovery thesis and puts another leg lower back on the table.

Oscillators sit neutral, MACD and Momentum disagree

RSI (14) reads 47.26 — dead center neutral — while Stochastic %K is at 64.38 and Stochastic RSI Fast at 61.63, both consistent with moderate momentum rather than a breakout setup. MACD (12,26) is generating a buy signal at -0.35, implying fading bearish pressure, but Momentum (10) at 0.66 is throwing a sell signal, keeping the overall picture split.

Secondary oscillators reinforce the consolidation read: CCI at 27.98, ADX at 24.75, Williams %R at -38.06, Ultimate Oscillator at 57.52 and Bull Bear Power at -0.02 are all clustered near neutral, none signaling a strong directional push.

Moving averages cap upside near $46

Short-term averages sit just above spot: 10-day EMA at $43.90, 10-day SMA at $43.95, 20-day EMA at $43.92, 30-day EMA at $44.47. The 50-day EMA at $46.04 overlaps almost exactly with the $46 breakout trigger identified in the range analysis, adding technical weight to that resistance zone. Longer-dated averages remain well above current price, keeping the broader trend structure skewed bearish until the cluster is cleared.

Hashrate: from sub-0.001 PH/s to 2.774 PH/s

On the network side, the Litecoin Foundation published a ForceX chart showing hashrate compounding from under 0.001 PH/s in 2014 — when Litecoin began merge mining with Dogecoin — to today’s record 2.774 PH/s. The growth curve is steady and accelerating rather than spiking, reflecting deepening miner participation over a decade rather than a one-off event.

Higher hashrate raises the cost of attacking the network but has no direct bearing on near-term price action, a distinction worth flagging given the current technical weakness. The Foundation also reaffirmed its backing of the broader Scrypt-mining cohort — Dogecoin and other Scrypt chains tied to Litecoin through merge mining — framing the hashrate print as a long-term security marker rather than a trading catalyst.
