DEXE: OI +18% to $160M, Spot Buy-Side Dominant 8 Days Straight as $30 Holds

DEXE printed a fresh all-time high of $35.5 before settling near $34, a 17.9% 24-hour move that pushed open interest to $160 million — an 18% jump — while derivatives volume surged 146% to $210 million, per CoinGlass data. Spot volume rose 161% to $128 million as market cap expanded 16% on the day, extending the token’s year-to-date gain to 962%.

Positioning data: leverage building alongside spot demand

The concurrent rise in OI and derivatives turnover is the key structural signal here: it points to fresh position entry rather than shorts covering into strength. Coinalyze data shows eight consecutive days of net-positive spot buy flow, with buy volume exceeding 1 million units and a persistently positive buy-sell delta throughout the stretch.

That combination — sustained spot accumulation plus expanding leveraged interest — reduces the probability that this is a thin, futures-driven squeeze. Broader participation across both cash and derivatives books tends to produce more durable trend structure than single-venue OI spikes.

$30 now support, $40 the level to watch

DEXE has converted its former $30 resistance into a defended floor through the breakout, a level that had capped prior attempts at higher prices. RSI reads 76 — approaching overbought but still consistent with active buy pressure rather than exhaustion — while ADX at 33, with +DI at 37 above -DI, indicates trend strength currently favors buyers.

Those readings frame $40 as the next technical target if buying demand persists. A break below the $30 floor would open a retest of $27, the next visible support on the chart.

Positioning risk into the $40 zone

With OI now at $160 million against a market cap that expanded 16% intraday, exposure has grown more concentrated relative to the underlying float. The rally has tracked alongside broader rotation into decentralized-governance and AI-infrastructure tokens, a theme that has kept demand for DEXE elevated through 2026.

The next data point to track is whether early holders begin distributing into the $40 approach. Holding the $30 level through any profit-taking determines whether this leg extends toward $40 or mean-reverts toward the $27 support zone.
